I upcycle and reupholster antique furniture as a hobby. I am drawn to furniture from the Arts and Crafts period, which suits the style of many houses built in and around Birmingham. I like to restore furniture so these pieces can be loved again. For this chair, which I found in Oxford, I stripped the wood back and reupholstered the seat. I think the carving on the back of the chair is beautiful and it reminds me of a spinning stool.
