Object History

I have studied traditional frame restoration and upholstery for 5 years (a weekend per month) in the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham. I call the chair: The William Frances Art Nouveau Chair. Inspired by my father, who taught me to make something from nothing, and my mother, who loved colourful, beautiful nature. The chair started life as a wobbly frame bought from an auction site. It could easily have gone straight to the tip. I decided to try and rescue it. I have completed full frame restoration and traditional re-upholstery with pure wool Harris Tweed as the final cover.

In very good condition.
