I am an artist myself, and my chair has played a role in my art work over the years. It has been photographed, depicted in paintings, and used as an installation piece. I bought the chair from a junk shop; it is a ladies bedroom chair with a red velvet seat. I have envisaged previous situations that my chair has been part of; I am fascinated by it having previous lives. I also like the idea of an empty chair holding that feeling of expectation, loneliness, or just waiting for its next adventure.
