Object History

The chair was one of over a dozen—a Freecycle find, originally, I believe, from Stourbridge Waitrose staffroom. I re-covered it with fabric I had made as an undergraduate art student, for use at a mini festival to celebrate my 60th in the summer of 2023. I think the chair was made in the 1970s. It's still very sturdy and comfortable. Its chrome legs and beech armrests exude the timeless quality of the John Lewis brand and the contemporary style of the Antocks Lairn manufacturer—to which I added my own twist of colour and texture.
